My mission is to provide excellent, thorough healthcare, and assist each person in achieving their unique health goals through listening, advocating, respecting, and teaching about effective options from both naturopathic and conventional medicine. I strive to provide inclusive healthcare that respects choice, develops knowledge, empowers independence, and ultimately helps the patient heal themselves.
I strongly believe that there is a time and place for all types of medicine and healing, from simple breathing and meditation to pharmaceutical prescriptions, from hydrotherapy to chemotherapy. It all depends on the individual patient, their beliefs and health goals, and what therapies they are willing to invest their time and energy into.
I was raised between Boise, Idaho, and Northport, New York, on Long Island. I double majored in Biology and Philosophy at the University of Oregon, and completed my doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine at the National University of Natural Medicine. I was very fortunate to complete a three year integrative residency with Dr. Tori Hudson at A Woman’s Time, specializing in women's health and primary care. I completed rotations with allopathic (MD’s) and naturopathic physicians in gynecology, gastroenterology, neurology, endocrinology, cardiology, primary care, and transgender medicine. This experience helped me understand how to combine conventional and naturopathic medicine, and how to work on a team to benefit my patients.
After practicing at A Woman’s Time for a year after residency, I stepped back from practice for about 11 years, during which I got married, started raising two kids (and a couple of huskies), and moved to Alaska and back again. During Covid, I realized again how important and life- changing it can be to have excellent health care, and knew it was time to start studying and finding my way back to practicing naturopathic medicine.
I am very honored and grateful to have a residency position with Dr. Vickers, and to work with the amazing team at An Hao. Thank you for considering me on your path to better health.
